Summary

The Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) is issuing a grant that will allow you to claim back up to £350 from the cost of purchasing and installing a charging unit at your home.

This government grant is also

known as the Electric Vehicle Home charge Scheme (EVHS), and it’s available to electric and hybrid vehicle owners across the UK.

Only OLEV-approved installers are able to pass this saving on to their customers.

OLEV have identified that electric or hybrid vehicle owners tend to do most of their charging at home, so they’ve introduced this grant to help with the upfront cost of installing a charging unit at your property.

They’re invested in making it easier and cheaper to switch to electric or hybrid vehicles to help the UK meet their energy conservation commitments.

Do I Qualify?

Here’s what you need to qualify for the OLEV grant:

 An eligible electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle purchased or leased from 1st October 2016

 A property in the UK

Access to legal off-street parking

An OLEV-approved installer
